The ICOM-IC M505 VHF-Transceiver offer a large LCD Display, the wide reading angle, the adjustable contrast and the backlighting makes the display clearly arranged and easy to read. The ergonomic unit is waterproof like the IPX8 standard (30 min., 1,50m). With integrated hailer- 2 ways and foghorn. It is possible, to connect a GPS-receiver on the NMEA-input/output. Dual/tri-watch function for monitoring can be used. The speakers resounding loud and clear with a dynamic bass system. An especially large ergonomic keypad is available. In the dark it is easy to use, because the backlighting. The radio control hand microphone COMMANDMIC 3 HM-162 can optional be used, all functions, including DSC, are available. The Commandmic 3 has a large speaker, 45mm diameter with 2,8 W NF Output (typ.). It is possible to attach an external Speaker. The remote control may be positioned up to 18m away from the IC-M505. Available in Black or Grey.
The AIS version has a receiver which identifies vessels and their movements to improve safety & navigation at sea. A compatible chartplotter or PC/Software, where NMEA 0183 data format is used, is required to graphically display AIS data. No additional VHF Antenna is required. Scrambler not available with AIS version.
