Hydraulic Continuous Running Pumps
Raymarine SmartPilot connect to hydraulic steering systems using a rugged gydraulic pump matched to the capacity of the hydraulic steering system. To match a Raymarine SmartPilot hydraulic pump to your vessel you need to know the size (in cc) of the hydraulic cylinder ram(s) that is mounted to the rudder on inboard engined boats, or mounted to the drive unit on outboard engined boats. Your steering system documentation will have this information.
Type CR 12 Volt
The Constant Running pump provides an ideal drive system for large boats and heavy duty steering applications. It is primarily designed for use on boats with an existing hydraulic steering system.Type CR (4.5L) 12V Constant Running Pump for hydraulic steering rams between 22-73 cubic inches (350-1200cc) capacity.
Type CR 24 Volt
The Constant Running pump provides an ideal drive system for large boats and heavy duty steering applications. It is primarily designed for use on boats with an existing hydraulic steering system. Alternatively, you can use this pump on a boat with mechanical steering in conjunction with a secondary steering ram and bypass valve. Type CR (4.5L) 24Volt Constant Running Pump for hydraulic steering rams between 21-73 cubic inches(350-1200cc) capacity.
