R Electronics at Gold Coast Marine Expo

This year will be the foundation Expo for many years to come, it's the "Gold Coast Marine Expo" And R Electronics will be there! The Expo is a not-for-profit Association that has been assembled by industry for industry. The expo is the vehicle that will coordinate the exhibitors, displays, attractions and events over the Expo.  Located at the Gold Coast Marine Precinct in Waterway Drive, Coomera, the Expo will run over the beginning weekend of November 2011. 

The Expo came about when Gold Coast City Marina, Riviera, International paints, Quintrex, Clipper, MTU, Go Boating Publications and Boatpoint financially committed themselves to initiate the Expo.  It was based on the industry need for a “low-cost” summertime maritime Expo that encompassed new vessels, brokerage vessels, working displays, wooden boat festival and an insight to “growing” boating for the general public.  

Unlike other major boat shows, the Gold Coast Marine Expo will provide patrons with an unique ‘behind the scenes’ view of the industry, including live technical demonstrations. The Expo has been dubbed ‘The Working Boat Show’ as it will be staged within the facilities of several of Australia’s largest manufacturing plants and shipyards. It will provide not only a perfectly themed and ready-made venue but also allow the unique opportunity for the boating public to see manufacturing and shipyard facilities first hand and see the processes involved in boat building, refitting and marine repairs.

The Marine Expo will offer free admission for the general public, free onsite parking, international food stalls, and family fun and entertainment as well as a Saturday night shipyard invitation party for exhibitors and other key players- sponsors, media partners and international visitors.
